Project Manager- Product Discovery Program

Genmab is searching for Project Manager Product Discovery Program, for its Utrecht location.

In order to strengthen the Project Management team, Genmab is looking for an experienced Project Manager for the New Products program who will be based in Utrecht.
As Project Manager at Genmab, you will organise and coordinate all activities in the New Products program covering target identification, new product identification, lead generation and lead selection. You will report to the VP Project Management and to the VP Operations & Resource Management.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Organise, structure and connect all research activities in the New Products program (including target identification, new product identification, lead generation up and lead selection)
  • Secure the generation of data packages to support project decision to initiate preclinical development (incl in vitro POC, in vivo POC, exploratory toxicity, FTO analysis, competitor analysis)
  • Act as the key linker between the lead scientists from target identification/ evaluation, panel generation, proof of concept generation to lead selection and characterisation
  • Monitor progress, identify opportunities and escalate in a timely manner when objectives may not be met
  • Lead the communication with the New Product Committee, external parties and other internal key stakeholders
  • Be accountable for overall budget and overview of program deliverables in New Products program
  • Lead the teams in close collaboration with the responsible scientist/experts to optimally execute the activities and facilitate decision making
  • Build teams and maintain team effectiveness and satisfaction to achieve its goals through the networks of people/functions represented on the team
  • Work with operational management to secure the required resources for project success, to influence optimal team composition, to align goals and objectives with project team members, coach and guide team members and to provide input for performance evaluation of project team members

  • You are a builder of high performing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization and a natural connector of people
  • Post Graduate Degree (PhD) (preferably in Life Science).
  • At least five years experience as a project manager in successful biotechnology or life sciences organisation
  • You are fluent in English and you are able and willing to travel (5%)
