Molecular Pathology Director

You Will:

  • Provide leadership for the objectives, strategy and implementation of all Molecular Pathology efforts.
  • Supervision of all consultant Pathologists.
  • Engage with GRAIL scientific advisory board, key academic, community, and industry partners, and other thought leaders to innovate and refine clinical development strategies.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the GRAIL Clinical organization.
  • Lead the design, review, execution, and analysis of GRAIL clinical studies in support of product development plans and GRAIL partnerships, ensuring rigorous and compliant study conduct.
  • Lead effort to create a translational pathology function within GRAIL.
  • Be the internal expert on tumor tissue pathology, tumor markers, and defining work plan for tissue to support GRAIL’s scientific and clinical programs. 
  • Provide oversight to clinical data collection and quality assessment, as well as development of analysis plans.

Your Background Should Include:

  • MD including completion of residency in Molecular and Clinical Pathology.
  • Board Certification in Anatomical or Molecular Pathology.
  • 5+ years clinical research and product development experience in oncology and diagnostics in industry.
  • Deep working knowledge of clinical product development in therapeutics and/or diagnostics.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated track record of success in cross-functional team environment and leadership roles.
  • People management and team leadership skills to motivate staff and drive quality processes.
  • Clinical and Molecular Tumor Board Experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
