Upper Chesapeake Hematology & Oncology Services, an affiliate of University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health, has a full-time position available for a Hematology and Oncology board eligible/certified physician. The practice’s primary location is the Kaufman Cancer Center, an affiliate of University of Maryland’s Greenebaum Cancer Center (a NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center).
This well-respected practice is currently compromised of five physicians and three nurse practitioners. The practice is NCQA recognized as a patient centered specialty practice and oncology medical home (one of only thirteen nationwide). The practice prides itself on the provision of high quality, evidence based, clinically efficient, and compassionate care.
The Kaufman Cancer Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and its service offerings include medical oncology, cancer surgery, radiation oncology, infusion services, genetic counseling, palliative care, and integrative health services.
This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Call is 1:6. Half-day per week for administrative time. 5 weeks vacation, 1 week paid CME. Hospitalist team covers all inpatients. Inpatient unit is within walking distance from clinic. Many specialists, including surgical and radiation oncology, are housed in same freestanding Cancer Center, allowing easy communication and coordination of care (inclusive of multi-disciplinary clinics and tumor boards).
