Bon Secours Medical Group (BSMG), a physician-led, multi-specialty group is seeking BE/BC Medical Oncologists to join our team of progressive cancer experts. Our state-of-the-art technology and expert clinical staff enable our physicians to provide a comprehensive continuum of interdisciplinary cancer care for our patients.  All of our Cancer Centers have advanced diagnostic equipment and capabilities, a team of experienced nurse navigators and a variety of support group offerings which allows us to provide individualized, compassionate care.

Bon Secours Cancer Institute – Richmond

As a member of this team, you will work with six other medical oncologists to provide community-based cancer services in a compassionate and healing environment. The hospital you will cover is designated as a Community Cancer Program by the ACS, and the Breast Imaging Center is accredited as an ACR Breast Center of Excellence. You will benefit from the 1:1 support of a nurse practitioner in providing outpatient and inpatient consult services. Interested candidates should be eager to use their leadership skills to expand our medical oncology program and grow our outpatient infusion centers. You should also be willing to conduct clinical trials and have an interest in oncology research. Specific clinical interests are advantageous.

The Bon Secours Cancer Institute provides a wealth of experience and resources through the synergy of four acute-care hospitals, two freestanding outpatient radiation oncology centers, five outpatient infusion centers, and the Cullather Brain Tumor Quality of Life Center. We offer patients the best possible outcomes with the integrated clinical support of pathology and radiology, surgical oncology, medical oncology and radiation oncology, as well as additional support from home care, hospice, and palliative medicine. State-of-the-art technologies include: brain labs for the treatment of brain tumors, Trilogy Treatment System for conventional and stereotactic radiation therapy, Varian Linear Accelerators with GE CT simulators, Mobile PET/CT services, and breast MRI, 3-D and digital mammography.

Bon Secours Cancer Institute – Hampton Roads

Our two newest Cancer Centers located in Coastal Virginia offer all aspects of outpatient care and treatment under one roof.  Allowing patients greater access to cancer treatments and services.  We’ve combined our physicians’ expertise in cancer care with a multi-million dollar investment in technology that allows us to offer pioneering radiation therapies and infusion services.  Our cancer services use advanced technologies including:

  • Minimally invasive surgical techniques to include daVinci surgical robotic systems
  • Varian TrueBeam© Linear Accelerators
  • Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT)
  • Mobile PET services
  • 3D Mammography and Breast MRI
  • Advanced Brachytherapy Services, including High Dose Rate Radiation Therapy

Successful candidate will be focused on providing quality care, proficient in the management of oncology and hematology patients, coordinating complicated treatments, have the drive to help build this new service line and participate in regular tumor boards.

Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital - Kilmarnock

Another invaluable resource to the area, the Bon Secours Rappahannock General Hospital Cancer Treatment and Education Center which provides more than 4,000 treatments and procedures every year to patients living in the Rappahannock river community. Opened in 1996, this in-depth program is designed to provide cancer patients and their families the highest quality and most comprehensive treatment available at this quaint, rural Critical Access hospital.
