Inova Health System seeks a visionary physician executive to serve as President of the Inova Schar Cancer Institute (ISCI). Located in Falls Church, Virginia, Inova is a $4 billion, not-for-profit health care system serving more than two million patients annually. The ISCI is a comprehensive center for advanced cancer care and research discovery serving a region that includes Northern Virginia and the Washington DC metropolitan area. The President will oversee the cancer care strategy and operations, integrated clinical care, and research efforts to provide an efficient patient centered delivery model. He/she will work with Inova senior leadership to elevate system capabilities to enhance all aspects of clinical and research activity. This role requires an experienced, passionate and charismatic leader to collaborate with peers, stakeholders and providers at Inova and within the community.

The President of ISCI will set a vision and direct all clinical programs and services within the Cancer Institute. The ISCI aims for better prediction, prevention and elimination of cancer by creating individualized treatments and predictive analytics for each unique individual and family. This physician leader will cultivate relationships with key providers of cancer care delivery across medical oncology, radiation oncology and surgical oncology to ensure excellent care for patients and families across the care continuum.

The ideal candidate must have the demonstrated ability to effectively inspire, manage and develop a preeminent cancer center enterprise. Previous leadership experience in a cancer related field with documented success leading multidisciplinary cancer care in a complex, multi-facility operational environment is necessary.
