Medical Oncologist
BC Cancer

Locum (1 Year Full Time Maternity Cover)
Prince George, BC, Canada

BC Cancer is one of the world's renowned cancer organizations.  At the Prince George Centre, our vision is to improve access to services and enhance the continuum of cancer care in Northern BC. Prince George is BC's northern capital with picturesque wilderness close at hand, offering a true outdoor person's paradise - plus year-round entertainment options, from symphony concerts and theatre to family fun activities. A great place to live!

Hear directly from one of our Medical Oncologists on the advantages of working and living in the North:

There are so many reasons why I love living and working in the north. There is such a great sense of community and teamwork both at the centre and in the city. There are so many opportunities for leisure, no matter your interests. I love our symphony orchestra and local craftsmen guilds. I love spending time on and off the trails in the vast woods in and around the city at all times of the year. Most of all, I love working with a fantastic team dedicated to delivering care across the north and making a difference every day.

As a Medical Oncologist you will use your extensive experience and qualifications to provide oncology consultation, patient care, teaching, and research. You have obtained or are working towards Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology.  You must also be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and meet the requirements of credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer.  In addition, you should be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Northern British Columbia and for appointment to the medical staff at University Hospital of Northern British Columbia. You must be eligible for a valid license to practice medicine in Canada to apply.
