Self Regional Medical Center is a 421-bed regional referral center providing a wide range of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. Along with being home to a 27-resident family practice program, the hospital offers a full array of medical and surgical services, including cardiovascular surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics and bariatric surgery. The medical staff is comprised of more than 280 physicians representing 40-plus specialties and subspecialties. A new 224-bed patient tower includes a floor for inpatient oncology. Plans are under way for a new cancer center, which should be complete and occupied by 2010. This state–of-the-art center will encompass medical and radiation oncology as well as infusion therapy, a patient information center, a boutique for patients and a “healing garden”.
