Division of Hematology and Oncology 

Applicants sought for the Rowe Chair III endowed position. The focus of this appointment will be cancer genomics based therapeutic development. The successful candidate will fulfill criteria for appointment in the Clinical X Series at the Associate or full Professor level, which requires a record of outstanding scholarly achievement demonstrated by high impact publication and extramural funding in clinical translational research. An emphasis on genitourinary, gastrointestinal, breast cancer, or Phase I drug development is preferred but not required. The incumbent will be expected to be highly collaborative and assist in the development of innovative investigator-initiated clinical trials. 

Candidates must possess an M.D. degree or M.D./Ph.D. and must be board certified by the ABIM in Internal Medicine and hematology and/or medical oncology and be eligible for licensure in the state of California. Experience in and the ability to teach medical students, residents, and fellows as well as experience caring for hematology/medical oncology patients is required. Additional responsibilities include contribution to enrollment of patients onto clinical trials as well as participate in patient care on the UC Davis inpatient wards/consult service and outpatient clinic. Evidence of success in obtaining extramural funding and/or administering clinical trials is highly desirable. The ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment is required.
