Hackensack Meridian Health Care and the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center are collaborating to organize and build a new, world-class center of excellence in cellular therapy of cancer as part of an evolving cancer center consortium effort.
We seek a leader in this field who will design and implement a robust clinical and preclinical cellular therapy platform based upon cutting edge advances and applications of T cell and/or NK cell based therapies to eradicate hematologic malignancies and/or solid tumors. It is expected that the successful candidate will bring or attract a cadre of outstanding scientists and clinical investigators to achieve this vision. The clinical facilities of both Hackensack Meridian, which operates one of the world's largest hematopoietic stem cell transplant programs, and Georgetown, home to one of the nation's 47 NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers, assure robust clinical/translational outlets for novel cellular therapy concepts. The successful candidate will possess the MD and/or PhD degree and will be a recognized authority in the field with commensurate published productivity and peer-reviewed funding, supplemented by philanthropic and commercial sources. Successful candidates will be eligible for a faculty appointment at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and for appointment as a member of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. This effort will be based in newly renovated laboratory space, with GMP production capabilities, on the campus of the former Hoffmann-La Roche biomedical campus in Nutley, New Jersey, the site of Hackensack Meridian's new medical school.
