The Georgetown-Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of 47 NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers, and the Department of Oncology at Georgetown University School of Medicine, seeks applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level with competitive salary, spacious research facilities, and substantial start-up funds.

Applicants are expected to conduct laboratory-based research focused on cancer genomics and/or cancer immunology.

The pace of targeted therapy and cancer immunotherapy clinical studies have outpaced the progress in understanding the underlying basic science and we are thus recruiting faculty who have a focus on laboratory based cancer genomics analysis and/or on laboratory based tumor immunology. Individuals will become members of the Georgetown-Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and be an integral part of the Lombardi Experimental Therapeutics Program and contribute to growth of the broader Cancer Center mission.

Specifically, recruits will have the opportunity to link their interests with the ongoing and emerging scientific findings in the Cancer Center laboratories and clinical insights in a synergistic fashion. This synergy is anticipated to enhance the understanding of biologic mechanisms of cancer immunity and cancer genomics to provide rational underpinnings for future clinical trials.

The ideal candidates will have strong publication records and track records of peer-reviewed funding. Participation in teaching for the School of Medicine and the Tumor Biology graduate program (funded by an NCI T32) are expected.

All applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) and at least three years of postdoctoral experience. Clinical practice is possible and negotiable, but not required for M.D. candidates. Salary will be commensurate with education, experience and established School of Medicine guidelines.

Application Deadline: July 1, 2017 or until filled.

Applicants should submit (i) curriculum vitae, (ii) description of research, (iii) teaching interests. Send applications to email:
