University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at Deerfield Beach is seeking a Board Certified Hematologist-Oncologist to join the Deerfield Beach Satellite team. Deerfield Beach provides complete cancer care from screening and diagnosis to treatment and follow up, to patients in Broward, Palm Beach, and other surrounding counties in southern Florida. The Deerfield facility has a team of about 50 cancer specialists, representing over 20 specialties offering multidisciplinary cancer care.

Our Medical Director, Mohammad Jahanzeb, M.D., F.A.C.P., and an expert in breast and lung cancers, is focused on expanding the center’s hematology-oncology faculty to match the growing need. Sylvester Cancer Center at Deerfield offers World Class care in an expanded evaluation and treatment facility, including a multidisciplinary Women’s Center, led by Dr. Charles Vogel, joined by Dr. Reshma Mahtani; both are renowned breast cancer expert. In addition, the facility has a state-of-the-art Radiation Oncology Center directed by Dr. Laura Freedman and houses a full suite of leading-edge imaging services, provided by UHealth Imaging under Dr. Pamela Nottingham. 

Sylvester Deerfield is part of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and University of Miami Health System a network of comprehensive cancer care facilities throughout South Florida and is among an elite group of 11 leading cancer centers in the nation with the best patient outcomes in a recent study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Sylvester is South Florida’s only Cancer Center of Excellence with over 250 cancer experts and more cancer clinical trials than any other hospital system in South Florida.
