The Thoracic and Gastrointestinal Oncology Branch (TGIB), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking an outstanding candidate for a Staff Clinician position. The position is located on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland.
The successful candidate must have an M.D. degree, be board certified or board eligible in medical oncology, and a strong background in translational research, management of patients with thoracic malignancies and conduct of clinical trials. Their focus should be on translational research and taking care of patients with thoracic cancers, with an emphasis on malignant mesothelioma and lung cancer. This position involves close collaboration with basic scientists and clinicians performing innovative early-phase clinical trials of novel targeted agents being developed at the NCI. Individuals interested in an academic career committed to advancing translational research are encouraged to apply, including candidates who are finishing medical oncology fellowships.
