ThedaCare, an integrated health system located in Appleton, Wisconsin, is aggressively recruiting new Oncologists who understand our philosophy of building personal, trusting relationships with cancer patients and their families. We plan to continue to grow through 2018 to reach a total team of eight physicians and nine advanced practice clinicians. As we add providers, additional appointments will be available in both our Fox Valley (Appleton, WI) and rural locations – expanding the availability of this exceptional care.
The ThedaCare Regional Cancer Center has become a destination for cancer care. For the first time, cancer patients in our area can receive a full spectrum of care under one roof. This includes some of the most advanced cancer treatments and therapies available, delivered by distinguished specialists from all over the world. And patients have peace of mind knowing ThedaCare is part of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, so they can get a second opinion close to home. As a result, new patient referrals are increasing, as are visits by established patients. The expanded offerings include:
- Participation in an expanded portfolio of national clinical trials and research
- Cold caps that help breast cancer patients undergoing certain forms of chemotherapy keep their hair
- “Alternate electric therapy” to improve outcomes for patients with brain tumors
- Immunotherapy options for patients with a variety of malignant diseases
- And coming soon… wellness programs
It is an exciting time for ThedaCare Cancer Care. Again, we are privileged to partner with you on this journey, and we hope you are able to help share the story of the valued, personal cancer care ThedaCare provides.
