VA Portland 

The VA Portland Health Care System in Portland, Oregon is recruiting a Section Chief of Hematology-Oncology. The Portland VA is affiliated with Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and the incumbent will hold a joint faculty position in OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute (KCI). The Portland VA shares a hematology-oncology fellowship program with OHSU and ranks 7th nationwide among VAs in grant support. The Chief of Hematology-Oncology supervises 8 full time hematologist-oncologists, 30 nurse practitioners, nurses, and ancillary staff, and the chemotherapy program. The Portland VA serves as the referral center for all hematology-oncology patients in Oregon, Idaho Southern Washington, Northern California, and Alaska.  The VA seeks a leader with academic accomplishments in the field and expertise in management of a VA-academic affiliate collaboration, supporting clinical care, research and education. The Chief is encouraged to continue ongoing research activities, to integrate research with KCI, and to preserve the reputation of the Portland VA for teaching and research excellence in hematology-oncology.
