The Comprehensive Cancer Center of Rhode Island Hospital, the major teaching affiliate of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, is seeking a senior thoracic oncologist to lead the section of thoracic oncology. The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of or Associate Professor or Professor in the Department of Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Applicants with a successful basic research laboratory, or strong evidence of funding potential, will be given the highest priority and offered a highly competitive start-up package. Strong consideration would be given to an established and accomplished research team. Minimum requirements include: board certification in oncology, a national reputation of excellence, strong experience in clinical, translational and/or basic research, excellence in patient care and teaching, and  will lead 5 full-time thoracic oncologists and collaborate with outstanding programs in thoracic surgery, radiation oncology and lung cancer biology. A highly accomplished physician may lead our main-member Alliance affiliation. Outstanding support and resources will be provided to develop a national program of clinical and research excellence.
