Clinical Faculty Position - Palliative/Supportive Oncology

The Hematology/Oncology Division of the Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking candidates for clinical faculty members with expertise in Palliative/Supportive Care and Integrated Oncology, and a focused area of Medical Oncology. This position is in the non-tenure track Clinical Series, at the level of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor, depending upon the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and achievements. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and participate in a program for early integration of supportive care into the management of patients in the Hematology/Oncology practice, engage in clinical research and participate in clinical education. UCI is home to one of 48 NCI designated comprehensive cancer centers and one of only 23 institutions also holding a Clinical Translational Science Award. UCI recently received a 200 million dollar gift for the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences to focus on improving integrated and holistic health care. Applicants must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree with ABIM certification, be eligible for or hold ABIM subspecialty certification in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology, have completed advanced training in palliative/supportive care, and possess or be eligible to obtain an active medical license in California.
