The Division of Hematology, Oncology and Cell Therapy in the Department of Medicine at Rush University Medical Center / Rush University Cancer Center is recruiting to fill a number of positions in various disciplines.  The predominant criteria for all appointments are a major commitment to research, teaching, patient satisfaction, excellence in clinical care, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service – appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

BONE MARROW AND STEM CELL TRANSPLANT

Section Chief, Bone Marrow Transplant and Cell Therapy at the associate or professor level, who is an experienced clinician demonstrating knowledge and innovation in the field of bone marrow transplantation.  The Section Chief will specifically participate in direct patient care, teaching, research, and program administration to maintain current accreditations for cellular therapies and national cooperative group memberships to facilitate the further advancement of a well-established clinical program in bone marrow transplant and cell therapy.  The successful candidate will possess professional qualifications that include: Hematology, Oncology or Hematology/Oncology training with board certification, MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent), and have experience in clinical and translational research.  In addition, the successful candidate is a creative leader with a strong record of collaborative leadership and commitment to academic excellence.   Candidates who have active ongoing clinical/translational research programs and some administrative experience are preferred.

Hematologist or Hematologist/Oncologist to join its adult SCT-CT program faculty at the assistant or associate professor level.   The successful candidate will possess professional qualifications that include: Hematology training with board certification/eligibility, MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent), documented clinical SCT training and/or significant experience in the field of SCT-CT, and have experience in clinical and translational research.

ONCOLOGY

Director of Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology at the assistant, associate or professor level.  The successful candidate will possess professional qualifications that include: Oncology or Hematology/Oncology training with board certification, MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent), and have experience in clinical and translational research.  In addition, the successful candidate is a creative leader with a strong record of collaborative leadership and commitment to academic excellence.   Some administrative experience is preferred.

Oncologist or Hematologist/Oncologist to join its breast medical oncology faculty at the assistant, associate or professor level.   The successful candidate will possess professional qualifications that include: Oncology or Hematology/Oncology training with board certification, MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent), and have experience in clinical and translational research. 

HEMATOLOGY

Hematologist or Hematologist/Oncologist with experience in lymphoma, at the assistant, associate or professor level.  The successful candidate will be board certified/eligible in Hematology, have an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent), and have experience in clinical and translational research. 

Rush University Cancer Center comprises all of the cancer-related clinical, research and educational efforts at Rush, crossing 20 departments, divisions and sections; inpatient and outpatient areas; professional clinical activities; and the colleges of Rush University.  Faculty participate in teaching and mentoring residents, fellows and postdoctoral candidates.
