The Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center / Department of Oncology is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor in Head and Neck Oncology with a particular focus in the treatment of squamous cell cancer of the head and neck, salivary gland cancers, nasopharyngeal cancer and sinonasal cancers. Candidates who are completing fellowship training are encouraged to apply.  The faculty candidate will be expected to lead in the conduct of phase I and phase II clinical trials investigating novel therapeutics in these diseases, or have additional interests in patient oriented research. Candidates with successful laboratory based research programs are encouraged to apply as well. The successful applicant will be charged with developing a portfolio of innovative clinical or translational research in head and neck cancer. The candidate will have major opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and scholarship, working with faculty focused on upper aerodigestive cancer research and has part of a multidisciplinary head and neck clinical team.  This individual should be eligible for licensure in the State of Maryland. Responsibilities will include: attending on inpatient units, attending and supervising fellows in outpatient clinic, and developing and supervising research protocols. The academic appointment will be commensurate with the individual’s experience.
