Baystate Health, an award–winning healthcare system and home of the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate, is searching for a Hematologist Oncologist to join Baystate Health’s Regional Cancer Program in western Massachusetts.

Features of this opportunity:

  • Join our team of 12 physicians and 5 APCs who provide interdisciplinary clinics across 5 locations in western MA.
  • We are the region’s only academic cancer program and only program doing clinical research.  Our fully integrated program includes radiation, gynecologic, and surgical oncology, and a dedicated oncology inpatient unit.
  • Combination of clinical care and medical education.  Faculty appointment to UMass School of Medicine and opportunity to teach our hem/onc fellows, residents and medical students.  New Medical School at Baystate Medical Center opened summer 2017.
  • Investigator-initiated research, cooperative and pharmaceutical group trials, with both clinical and QI research opportunities available.  Certified ASCO Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) program.  Strong focus on value- and evidence-based care, and quality improvement is a scholarly focus.

We seek an individual with outstanding clinical, clinical research, and teaching skills.  The clinical emphasis of this position is gastrointestinal and/or thoracic malignancies; an interest and ability in benign hematology would be an asset.  Our experienced physicians can provide excellent mentorship to those early in their careers.  We are committed to hiring clinicians who value a culture of compassion and appreciate diversity—while delivering a higher state of caring.  Join us in our mission.

Reinventing healthcare takes courage.

It takes collaboration.

It takes you.
