Staff Position in Breast Cancer Tumor Immunology Translational Investigation

Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute’s Department of Translational Hematology and Oncology Research has an opening for a Staff Member with interest in the development of immune therapies and understanding the role of the immune system in the pathogenesis of breast cancer. The candidate should have a strong background in translational research.  The goal of the position is to build and maintain an independent federally funded research program, consistent with the strategic goals of Cleveland Clinic and the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. She/he will develop and sustain ongoing collaborative relationships with other laboratories, clinician-scientists and research leadership throughout the Cleveland Clinic and Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. She/he will be part of the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program of Cleveland Clinic.  Applicants with M.D., Ph.D. or dual degrees will be considered.  While we encourage applications from candidates at all academic levels (Assistant, Associate to Full Professor level), those with a strong history of federal grant support and established academic careers are particularly welcome.

The Department occupies a recently renovated laboratory floor within the Lerner Research Institute with space to expand, state-of-art equipment and core facilities.  The proximity of the laboratories to the hospital and clinic provides a perfect base for translational research.   The Cleveland Clinic offers an excellent environment for clinical and basic research and access to many unique resources.

This dynamic position commands a competitive salary enhanced by an attractive benefits package and a collegial work environment.  The Cleveland area is a very comfortable and affordable place to live with a variety of available activities and good school systems.
