Executive Director, Marketing - US Solid IO, GI Tumor Lead

What we are looking for?
A skilled leader and accomplished marketer with customer focus to lead the ImmunoOncology Gastro-Intestinal (GI) franchise which includes Gastric, Hepatocellular, CRC, Esophageal, and more to come. The GI Tumor Lead will lead the current promotional efforts of OPDIVO to healthcare practitioners in the treatment of HCC and CRC MSI-h with immediate launch plan responsibilities for Gastric. He or She will also be the US counterpart to the worldwide commercial, medical, and GCR organizations. This individual will be accountable for GI marketing across the matrix. He or She will manage, mentor, and coach the team developing and executing the growth plan to establish sustainable differentiation and rapid adoption of our portfolio within all GI indicated populations. Additionally, this individual will perform various responsibilities within market preparation for competitive entrants, updated data sets and emerging biomarker paradigms within GI indications. We are looking for a dynamic, performance-driven leader who cultivates a team-based, collaborative, customer/externally focused environment which promotes candor, innovation, and appropriate risk taking.

Who do you work with?
The GI Tumor Lead reports directly to the Vice President, US Solid IO. This individual leads collaboratively across and partners with a matrix organization inclusive of Sales & Sales Training, Access Strategy, Medical Strategy, Customer Insights, Worldwide Commercial, GCR, Legal, Promotion Integrity, and our Customer Engagement Center.

What are the primary responsibilities?

  • Lead tumor strategy for OPDIVO to ensure synergistic messaging and execution across tumors within scope of responsibility and collaborate across other tumors outside of scope
  • Manage tumor-level P&L decisions to ensure proper resource utilization across A&P spend and operating expense management
  • Drive top-line forecasting and projection workstream for tumor(s) in conjunction with the Business Insights & Analytics team
  • Build BMS I-O Leadership in GI through the development of a customer focused, differentiated communication platform which clearly & succinctly conveys the brand’s value
  • Foster strong collaborative working relationships with external and internal customers
  • Collaborate with market research team to identify and leverage deep customer insights
  • Develop and implement the strategic and tactical plans to promote OPDIVO to Healthcare Practitioners
  • Partner with Customer Engagement Center to optimize Marketing Mix & Channel selection
  • Effectively analyze customer insights, brand performance, market trends, & competitive response to inform strategic plan which addresses key challenges and capitalizes on prioritized business opportunities
  • Lead and mentor GI teams to communicate performance and strategy presentations to Leadership Teams
  • Provide commercial input to optimize the brand’s US prescribing information

Qualifications and Experience we look for in a candidate:

  • MBA or other Advanced Degree Preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 5 years of marketing experience
  • Strong leadership skills to lead/contribute to the overall strategic planning, and execution of key deliverables
  • Prior experience managing & developing high performing teams preferred
  • Prior Health Care Practitioner marketing experience with demonstrated expertise in customer focus, insight mining, message development and marketing analytics
  • Proven track record of effectively and efficiently driving performance within a matrix organization with strong organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and executive collaboration required
  • Ability to develop and manage strong customer relationships
  • Oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Willing to travel up to 25%
