If yes, don’t waste your time. You have found your destiny. Our group works on the development of highly complex bioassays for I/O. Bioassays we develop, are employed for the screening of fully-human antibodies generated in our proprietary VelocImmuneTM mice. In cross-departmental meetings, we present and discuss our findings to our strong scientifically-driven senior leaders to move therapeutic drugs into clinic. What we really like about our bioassay team, is the energizing environment which drives us constantly to come up with better approaches and concepts. Therefore, your passion, your enthusiasm, your scientific curiosity to create challenging bioassays is needed to find new therapeutic drugs. In order to be able to match you with our team, you’ll need following requirements and you’ll have following responsibilities:

1) Isolate/process immune cells from human blood samples
2) Develop human primary cell-based functional assays
3) Develop cell-based functional assays using engineered-immortalized cells
4) Mammalian cell culture of adherent and non-adherent cell lines

5) Operate a variety of instruments including but not limited to HyperCyte, Accuri C6 cytometer, Cytoflex, ImageXpress micro XL, Victor, Hamilton, Envision Multilabel plate reader, Cell Harvester

6) Set up and run bioassays for screening and potency measurements

7) Provide Weekly presentations/verbal updates

8) Keep abreast of current/relevant literature in order to further develop scientific expertise and expand scientific/technical knowledge and skill sets
9) Train, direct and oversee the experimentation of research assistants

This position requires a PhD with a minimum of 2+ years related post doc experience. Ideal candidate experience will include:
1) Extensive knowledge and background in immunology
2) Expertise in handling/processing human blood samples
3) Proficient in immunofluorescence staining procedures and flow cytometry
4) Experience in primary cell activation/proliferation assays
5) Strong aseptic cell culture skills
6) Stable cell line engineering skills
7) Cell-based potency assays

Level will be commensurate with experience
