Senior Oncology Marketing Manager/Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager/Sr. Marketing Manager will be a key member of the Global Commercial Team and will be an active contributor to the building of Genmab’s marketing capabilities as well as to the development of the commercial group. The main purpose of the role is to help develop, support and execute the brand commercial strategy through a world class global launch for multiple indications in the oncology space. Key responsibilities include, communicating and aligning multiple stakeholders on the launch plan and commercial objectives. The Marketing Manager will lead project plans that ensure launch readiness, and drive rapid adoption of brand. The role has a global scope for the development and implementation of a strategic and operational plan that builds on the world class launch.

Key Accountabilities

• Serve as a key member of the commercialization team and contribute new ideas and approaches to help build cutting-edge commercial capabilities

• Understand key market trends and competitive environment to drive proactive strategies to maximize brand potential

• Participate in the development of business plans, identify areas of concern and provide input to modify marketing programs to address changes in the marketplace.

• Analyze multiple external data points to identify risk / opportunities, and create contingency plans as needed.

• Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders across the organization ensuring launch readiness for all channels and audiences.

• Drive execution of go-to-market launch strategy

• Develop and implement global activities for pre- and post-launch including but not limited to Global Marketing materials and launch preparation plans

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives. Foster strong partnerships with medical affairs, market access, sales, legal, regulatory and other functions to ensure aligned objectives and implementation of brand strategies

• Manage collaboration with external partners and lead planning/execution of alliance meetings

• Manage external agencies to ensure excellent execution of marketing programs aligned with brand strategic imperatives

• Manage the development and dissemination of brand standards, labeling, and overall positioning.

• Active management and tracking of commercial budgets

• Lead coordination of Genmab global congress presence and management of digital assets.

• Effectively manage vendor relationships to deliver on time, on budget projects within scope.

• Lead sales reporting and analysis for in-market assets

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree Required

• 5+ years of strong marketing background in a large/mid-sized pharmaceutical market

• US in-line brand marketing experience with oncology products; additional regional/global experience a plus

• Sales experience a plus.

• Resourceful, decisive and proactive approach to managing multiple priorities in a fast-growing organization

• Strong sense of urgency and ability to generate exceptional results by driving performance and collaborating across boundaries; work effectively across a matrix team

• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, with an entrepreneurial mind-set and a track record of results

• Effective stakeholder and relationship management experience; able to interact and build relationships with multiple levels

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Demonstrated use of insights to deliver effective marketing strategies

• Effective cross-functional project team leadership and influencing skills

• Experience in leading and motivating agency partners to deliver on brand objectives

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives.

• Demonstrated use of insights to deliver effective marketing strategies

• Travel up to 25% internationally and domestic


• Additional relevant technical degree or MBA

• Experience working with European or Global markets

• Product launch experience

• Understanding of the R&D process and importance of integrating commercial and development strategy and plans
