Global Medical Affairs Head(MD)- Darolutamide

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Global Medical Affairs Head MD - Darolutamide, are to: 

  • Lead the Darolutamide Strategy for Global  Medical Affairs Oncology;
  • Plan and coordinate the design, conduct, analysis, reporting and publication of  Oncology Global  Medical Affairs Studies;
  • Lead strategic review of Oncology Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) and Post Marketing Commitment (PMC) studies;
  • Ensure all regional studies are consistent with agreed Global Medical Strategy;
  • Guide Medical expertise and insight on commercial issues through membership of the Oncology Global Brand Teams (GBTs);
  • Plans and conducts Scientific Advisory Boards with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and External Customers;
  • Represents  viewpoint on product to KOLs, Scientific Advisors, Health Authorities and to other External Stakeholders;
  • Lead Medical Affairs input to Global Clinical Development Programs;
  • Provide Medical Probability of Success and Feasibility Assessments to Global Marketing colleagues in relation to product;
  • Provide Medical Review of promotional material from the GBT for Global Use (e.g. Product Monographs, Brochures, Press Releases, Q&As, and Field Communications);
  • Lead Medical Affairs activity connected to the Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Scientific Publication Process, Global KOL Development Programs and Global Medical Congress Activity;
  • Lead Medical Affairs input to Core Labeling and Pharmacovigilance documents for marketed products (e.g. risk management plans and benefit analysis for risk-benefit assessments);
  • Establish and Lead Medical Affairs Matrix team for Global Brand in Oncology (medical Core team).

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (MD Physician) with Advanced Postgraduate Medical training/Research experience;
  • A minimum 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development and Commercial function of a Global Healthcare Organization or equivalent in Academic environment or Regional or Country Pharmaceutical environment;
  • Disease or Therapeutic area knowledge in both existing drugs and new fields of exploration;
  • Understanding of drug development process over different stage;
  • Experience with developing and delivering presentations and publications in English;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • A strong Global strategic mindset;
  • Understanding of Global regulations and guidelines;
  • Experience with effectively managing risk and compliance issues;
  • Experience with managing teams across cultures and geographies;
  • Experience with leading and participating in cross-functional teams;
  • Experience with working across and building effective working relationships between functions;
  • Proven record of relationship building, both internally and externally to the organization;
  • High degree of fluency in written and verbal English;
  • Great presentation skills.
