Associate Director Secondary Data Analytics Oncology

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Director Secondary Data Analytics Oncology, are to: 

Be responsible for secondary research for the following:

  • Use secondary data to generate business insights;
  • Conduct secondary data analysis, interpret research results and visualize in a simple and clear way;
  • Provide comprehensive market overview by working with large specialty data set;
  • Develop customer-focused longitudinal view (e.g., patient) to optimize business opportunity (e.g., adherence);
  • Support development of key deliverables (e.g., Market Access Analytics);
  • Support product and market opportunity assessments, situational analyses, trend identification, market sizing, and competitive landscape research;
  • Manage metrics to track brand strategy, tactics, and market Performance;
  • Design, implement and monitor key performance indicators;
  • Develop and operationalize ongoing reporting needs (e.g.: Verix);

Partner with stakeholders:

  • Serve as advisor to Brand stakeholders by providing strategic, tactical and analytical support and recommendations;
  • Partner with Commercial Analytics to design and measure Pilots & Experiments, and support quick turnaround ROI analysis to adjust the course of brand team investment;
  • Support business strategies implementation with Commercial Analytics Team;
  • Support BU innovations by proactively identifying business opportunities through secondary data research, draw conclusions and recommendations;

Competency development:

  • Support developing annual analytic plan, situational analysis and performance overview;
  • Be an expert in existing commercial data and liaison with vendors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Proven team and project leadership skills and ability to work independently;
  • Strong analytical/quantitative skills and knowledge with the ability to understand the big picture;
  • Ability to appropriately challenge "prevailing wisdom," ensuring decisions and assumptions are based on best available information;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as demonstrable in oral management presentations, succinct PowerPoint stories and layout, as well as structured syntheses and recommendations;
  • Four or more years of relevant full-time work experience, of which two or more years of recent experience in U.S. healthcare marketing analytics;
  • Experienced in identifying and retrieving appropriate data and analyzing secondary market research audits and resources (e.g., SDI, IMS, WK, Specialty Pharmacy);
  • Expert in handling and analyzing various data types (e.g., patient longitudinal, claims data, distribution, sales, demand, units, promotion);
  • Record of professional success, demonstrated through above-average performance reviews, promotions, and relevant "extracurricular" activities/engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree (Master’s/Ph.D.) in quantitative field (Statistics, Management Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Accounting, Business, Marketing, etc.);
  • SAS experience.
