The Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Vice President of Oncological Services to join its affiliate Jupiter Medical Center in West Palm Beach Florida!
Mount Sinai Health System in affiliation with Jupiter Medical Center, seeks to recruit an innovative and transformative physician leader to serve as Vice President of Oncological Services at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida and as a Medical Director for Oncology Services in the Mount Sinai Health Network. The role represents an exciting leadership opportunity to direct a comprehensive cancer center of excellence and broaden the accessibility, scope and quality of cancer care for Palm Beach County.
The cancer program at Jupiter Medical Center is accredited by both the Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. The multidisciplinary approach to cancer care includes a number of disease specific tumor boards including Breast Cancer, Thoracic Cancer, GYN Cancer and Gastrointestinal Cancer. The Cancer program includes a variety of treatment technologies options including the Accuray Cyberknife M6, Varian Trilogy Linear Accelerator, Siemens CT Simulator, Siemens HDR technology and Sordina IOeRT. Construction is underway on a new $50 million dollar state-of-the-art Cancer Center. The new center will include renovation of the existing 20,000 sq. ft. center and an additional 55,000 sq. ft. of new construction located on the Medical Center campus. New Center will also include the addition of a new Varian True Beam Linear Accelerator and the installation of a GE PET/CT.
The Vice President of Oncological Services at Jupiter Medical Center will provide operational leadership and clinical oversight for the development and management of Oncology Services and will define the strategic direction for the Cancer Center in affiliation with Mount Sinai Hospital and its NCI-designated Tisch Cancer Institute.
The Vice President of Oncological Services at Jupiter Medical Center will ensure the delivery of evidence-based cancer care to the community and will direct the planning and delivery of all cancer related services including clinical research, community outreach, education, detection, survivorship and support group programs.
This physician leader will collaborate with the Hospital's clinical and administrative leadership to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care in a welcoming, patient-centric environment. This is a great opportunity for a physician interested in a role as The Vice President of Oncological Services at Jupiter Medical Center, while providing comprehensive oncology care to patients.
The Vice President of Oncological Services at Jupiter Medical Center will also serve as the primary liaison and administrative lead for the Hospital's affiliation with Mount Sinai Health System and will play a key role in Medical Staff Development as it relates to recruitment of additional physicians and the continued enhancement of the cancer care delivery network.
Candidates for this position will be highly-respected medical oncologists with a proven track record in oncology leadership and a reputation for delivering high quality cancer care. Successful candidates will have leadership experience as a Chief, Deputy Director, Chair, Vice Chair or similar position within an academic medical center and will possess a dynamic and collaborative leadership style, excellent organizational and communication skills, programmatic development abilities and talent aligning all stakeholders to a common vision and goal.
The ideal candidate will be board certified in medical oncology and hematology, eligible for academic rank at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mounts Sinai Health System.
Qualified candidates must have proven clinical leadership and communications skills, as well as an established reputation for clinical and translational cancer research with academic excellence.
