Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine (Genetic)
Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology is seeking applicants who will qualify for appointment as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. The candidate will be expected to focus on the diagnosis and management of genetic issues and cancer.
Ideally the physician will have an interest in germline genetic alterations and hereditary cancer syndromes and emphasize innovation, clinical trials, research, multidisciplinary care, and translational research. However those with other interests in genetics and oncology will be considered.
The position includes an emphasis on outpatient clinics, teaching, and mentoring of fellows, residents, and medical students in addition to clinical and/or translational research. Inpatient hematology/oncology attending with Residents and Fellows are part of the academic responsibilities.
Candidates must qualify for appointment at the Assistant Professor level at our academic facility, be board-certified in internal medicine, and have completed a fellowship in medical oncology or hematology/oncology with board eligibility or board certification in either oncology or medical oncology.
