This highly motivated team utilizes a personalized, innovative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care with a commitment to evidence-based practice and evaluation of outcomes. The hematology/oncology team collaborates with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists and psychologists to develop a plan tailored to the individual patient to achieve the best possible outcome. Geisinger’s oncology research programs are anchored by the NCI Community Oncology Research Program cooperative agreement and the national commitment to cancer research in community settings. Geisinger has membership affiliations with Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, Children’s Oncology Group, EGOG-ACRIN, NRG Oncology, University of Rochester Cancer Center and Wake Forest. Palliative medicine services are also offered at each campus. Working with Geisinger’s Department of Oncology Innovation and Analytics, physicians have the opportunity to participate in the development of unique models of care, clinical tools and other research projects. Geisinger Community Medical Center - Scranton, PA

The practice focus is oncology and hematology, including both benign and malignant diseases. The position also involves both inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities as well as opportunities for population health, tumor genomics, quality cancer care delivery research, clinical trial participation and internal medicine house-staff and physician-extender (Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners) education.

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center - Wilkes Barre, PA

The position involves inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities.  This team is looking for a physician with interest in a hematology focus.  The team is supported by advanced practitioners, specialty nurses, social workers, and an infusion room staffed by oncology-certified nurses. Multiple multidisciplinary clinics are held within the Cancer Center. Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center has ACoS, QOPI, NAPBC, and ACR accreditations.

Geisinger Hazleton / Pottsville, PA

These opportunities involve inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities. The infusion rooms are staffed by a seasoned group of oncology-certified nurses.
