Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine (Oncology)
Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology is seeking applicants who will qualify for appointment as an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine. The position will hold the Board of Regents Edward Schlieder Educational Foundation Chair in Medical Oncology.
Ideally the physician will have a portfolio of concentrated research in an area of Oncology and an emphasis in innovation, clinical trials, multidisciplinary care, and translational research.
The position also includes an emphasis in outpatient clinics, teaching, and mentoring of fellows, residents, and medical students in addition to clinical and/or translational research. Inpatient attending with Residents and Fellows are part of the academic responsibilities.
Candidates must qualify for appointment at the Associate Professor level at our academic facility, be board-certified in internal medicine, and have completed a fellowship in medical oncology or hematology/oncology with board eligibility or board certification in either oncology or medical oncology.
