Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center (MBP-OLOL) is seeking a dynamic physician leader for the position of Cancer Center Physician-in-Chief. This is a new role for the cancer leadership team and a great opportunity for a cancer physician/physician scientist aspiring to elevate the level of care and visibility for a well-established cancer program. Working with key strategic partners such as Louisiana State University and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Physician-in-Chief will serve as the program’s senior clinical leader, driving strategies designed to enhance excellence in patient care at MBP-OLOL as well as have responsibilities for cancer care and cancer research activities both within the Cancer Center and across the MBP-OLOL Cancer System. He/she should create and sustain a culture focused on patient care while emphasizing quality, safety and efficiency. The position will work with Cancer Center leadership in the design and implementation of novel models of care, alternative payment model programs, and equitable distribution of resources. The Physician-in-Chief will also act as an advocate for and liaison to referring physicians, ensuring that the Cancer Center is responsive to their needs and concerns. 

MBP-OLOL will provide a highly competitive salary along with a compelling bonus based on achievement of performance objectives.
