Job Details
Applications are invited for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level faculty position in the area of Genitourinary (GU) Medical Oncology, with a focus on prostate cancer laboratory translational and clinical research. The successful candidate will have an appointment within the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Knight Cancer Institute of Oregon Health & Science University, Portland, Oregon, a NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. It is expected that candidates will work collaboratively both across clinical disciplines and with basic scientists on campus. He/she will be expected to have clinical activities primarily in prostate with an opportunity to see non-prostate GU cancers. He/she will join a robust clinical and translational program in GU oncology with many avenues for collaborative clinical research through OHSU’s leadership and membership in: the DoD-funded Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials Consortium, the Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer SPORE, and SWOG, the Group Chair’s Office of which is headquartered at OHSU. These collaborative networks provide unique opportunities for a young investigator to engage with world class investigators across the country and deploy research ideas across multiple world-class centers.
