The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology and the BMT service are seeking faculty candidates at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. Candidates should have an interest in developing a program in a specific malignant hematologic disease and the ability to utilize stem cell transplant. The individual selected will engage in patient care, clinical investigation and teaching to our fellows in Hematology/Oncology. 50% of the position’s effort will be spent in clinical activities and the other 50% in research, administrative, and teaching activities.
The George L. Strike Malignant Hematology and Stem Cell Transplant service at the University of Cincinnati is a FACT accredited program performing autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplant. Source for stem cells include related and unrelated donors with protocols utilizing haplo donors or cord blood. The program is staffed by four physicians trained in transplant and utilizes APP’s both inpatient and outpatient. The Division of Hematology and Oncology includes multiple clinical centers of excellence as well as an academic developmental therapeutic program and serves as a referral center for the Tri-State region. Divisional research labs provide venues for translational research studies. In addition, ample opportunities exist on campus for access to resources in immunobiology, laboratory medicine, transfusion medicine, cell mediated therapy and cancer biology at the University of Cincinnati Medical College, the Hoxworth Blood Center or the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Minimum Qualifications:
- MD with Board eligibility or Board certification in hematology or hematology and oncology
- Candidates should be at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level of their career
