The Role

Genmab is seeking a highly motivated research scientist to join our Translational Medicine team. You must possess in-depth scientific expertise in immunology and immune-oncology disease biology with the ability to work across teams to rapidly advance preclinical and clinical research efforts.

Key Accountabilities

• You will be expected to independently design and implement genetic or genomic endpoints in clinical studies which support MOA, PK/PD evaluations, patient stratification and novel biomarkers related to clinical response.
• You directly with various stakeholders at Genmab to ensure the implementation of the appropriate genetic and genomic assays.
• Experimental work is an integral part of the role and you will be expected to couple wet lab work with rigorous data analysis and integration of -omics platforms across our teams
• working with and identifying external vendors/CROs for biomarker evaluation and to execute on novel translational genomic technologies
• You will serve as a genomics subject matter expert for clinical programs from early to late state
• Drives the implementation of NGS technologies, supports ongoing development, validation and troubleshooting of NGS assays, including targeted DNA-seq and RNA-seq, WES, and WGS
• Interacts with external thought leaders in IO and Oncology to identify and utilize biomarkers for drug efficacy in humans

Skills & Experience

• PhD in Immunology, Oncology or Tumor Immunology is required with a minimum of 2 years postdoc experience and at least 5 years of industry experience
• A strong publication record in Immunology and or Tumor Immunology
• Implements data processing and analysis workflows in alignment with colleagues in bioinformatics and data storage procedures in collaboration with internal and external teams
• In-depth knowledge of various mechanisms of therapeutic response, resistance and clinical biomarkers
• Comprehensive expertise in developing and performing in vitro immune assays (biologics focused) using whole blood, purified immune subsets and isolated tumor cells from patients
• Experience managing CROs, instrument vendors and biobank/biorepository relationships would be advantageous
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate, both written and oral effectively and efficiently within the Genmab and with external partners/collaborators
• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, bringing a proactive mentality to the position.
