The Division of Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University is seeking applicants for two faculty positions in the Medical Center Line (MCL) at the Associate Professor or Professor level. The successful candidate should be an accomplished clinical or clinical/translational investigator with a demonstrated record of research funding and publication in leading cancer journals, and he/she will be capable of mentorship and future leadership. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
The Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology group seeks a mid-to-senior level clinical or clinical/translational researcher capable of mentorship and future leadership. The Genitourinary (GU) Oncology group also seeks a mid-to-senior faculty member with established federal or national trial research funding. The demographics of the Bay Area, with an aging population, and the advent of numerous novel therapeutics in prostate and renal carcinoma, provide opportunities. We seek an established clinician/investigator to develop high-level translational research and increase patient volume.
The ideal candidate will direct an academic Oncology clinical/translational research program in GI Oncology or GU Oncology. Candidates will be preferred who have demonstrated ability to obtain peer reviewed funding. The candidate will teach fellows and other trainees, and participate in the Oncology clinics. The Division of Oncology benefits from an outstanding scientific and clinical environment at Stanford, including active collaborations with the basic science departments and the Stanford Institutes.
Candidates should submit a statement of research interests, curriculum vitae, and the names of three references, to apply for positions #31496/47294, at http://facultyapplication.stanford.edu/
