Cape Fear Cancer Specialists, located in beautiful coastal North Carolina, seeks to add two physicians to its group.  Our growing community size dictates the immediate need for additional Hematology-Oncology services in our area.

We are seeking a BC/BE, highly motivated hematologist/oncologist to joint our predominantly outpatient, hospital-based practice in Wilmington, North Carolina. We treat our patients in NHRMC Zimmer Cancer Center, a state-of-the-art regional cancer center located in Wilmington that was recently renovated in 2017 to include 48 infusion bays, as well as in our community-based, QOPI certified office in neighboring Brunswick County.

The cancer center provides multidisciplinary cancer care in collaboration with radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, surgical oncology, advanced radiology and pathology.  This collaboration allows the medical hematology and oncology team to provide the highest level of care to all patients.  Tumor board collaboration, multidisciplinary clinics, access to clinical trials, advanced hospice and palliative care and resident teaching opportunities allow many opportunities for clinicians to function at a high level of involvement and job satisfaction.

We are currently a team of nine medical hematologists and oncologists and hope to add two more physicians within the next 12 to 18 months. Call is 1 in 9 and evenly distributed. This opportunity provides a competitive entrance salary with advancement in 1-2 years, comprehensive healthcare coverage, relocation expenses, annual physician allowance for CME and competitive vacation time.

THE COMMUNITY:

Wide sandy beaches, championship golf courses and year-round outdoor activities await you in Wilmington, NC.  Our community enjoys the advantages of big city life without the fast-paced lifestyle of a hectic metropolitan area.  Residents enjoy a moderate, four-season climate, dynamic arts, and fine dining, while our nearby beaches offer a mecca for boaters, beachcombers and seafood lovers. Surround yourself with water, history, and natural beauty- an ideal place to call home!
