Adult Survivorship Program

Boston, MA

The Adult Survivorship Program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is searching for new medical director. The medical director will work directly with the overall director of the program, other clinical leaders and clinicians of the solid tumor and hematologic malignancies groups, as well as subspecialists and primary care colleagues focused on adult survivorship care and research. The medical director will be expected to develop and implement initiatives to address the medical needs of cancer survivors. The medical director will supervise the dedicated survivorship providers in the program and oversee clinical programs and a variety of subspecialists from Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In addition, the new medical director of survivorship will see survivorship patients approximately 20% of the time and devote the remainder of his/her time to clinical care and research in one of our disease-oriented programs. Ideally, the applicants should have a minimum of three years’ experience as a cancer clinician. Strong clinical skills and an appreciation of clinical medicine are critical. In addition, she/he must have experience and track record in cancer clinical and/or translational research. The successful candidate will also engage in teaching students, house staff, and fellows in the clinic and inpatient settings. 

 

Appointment at the Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor levels at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate to academic accomplishment.
