Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital invite applications from board-certified/eligible oncology specialists to serve as Oncology Service Line (OSL) Director for Lower Fairfield County. This position will play a leadership role in overseeing multi-disciplinary care, new clinical program growth and planning, facilities and capital planning, and liaising with New Haven care related specialties. This position will also focus on patient experience, quality/safety, will participate in recruiting of oncology specialists to multiple disciplines, will represent the medical staff, and will set organizational performance targets. The largest provider of cancer care in Connecticut, Smilow Cancer Hospital and its outpatient Care Centers deliver the highest quality patient care to our patients. We offer comprehensive cancer services, including access to clinical trials, at 12 locations across Connecticut. Candidates will be members of a multidisciplinary disease team, will participate in Tumor Boards and other academic activities, and are expected to enroll patients in clinical trials, while providing clinical care at a Smilow Care Center. All Smilow locations are certified by the ASCO Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®). Faculty appointments at the Yale School of Medicine are commensurate with scholarly record.
