Global Health Faculty Position
The Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center currently seeks applications from board-certified or board-eligible medical oncologists/hematologists for a global health faculty position to support clinical cancer care globally.
We are seeking an energetic, highly collaborative oncologist who has a keen interest in advancing the practice of global cancer care and becoming a future leader in the global health space. The faculty candidate will be provided with two years of funding to build a collaborative relationship with a hospital in Africa. The candidate will seek grant and philanthropic support for future programmatic endeavors and to ensure long-term program sustainability.
A record of success in the clinical care of hematology/oncology patients is essential, and experience in global or international health is highly preferred. The candidate will facilitate exchanges between our collaborating hospital in Africa and physicians within MGHCC and will be responsible for coordinating routine tumor boards and case conferences; developing an observership curriculum; and initiating global health-related research projects. The candidate must be adept at navigating cultural considerations in patient care.
Appointment as an Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor at the Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Suitable candidates will have an MD or an MD-PhD, and Board Certification in Internal Medicine. Open to candidates internal and external to MGHCC.
