Open Rank Faculty Position: Neuro-Oncology

Through an innovative partnership, Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and RWJBarnabas Health are reshaping the future of neuro-oncology and recruiting bright and highly motivated, academically oriented medical oncologists focused in neurology. Oncology-focused neurologists will also be considered. Candidates with active clinical and translational research programs and/or interests in a busy clinical practice are encouraged to apply. Leadership opportunities and laboratory packages exist for qualified candidates. 

Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, the state’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and RWJBarnabas Health, the state’s largest health care delivery system, partner to deliver high-quality and sophisticated oncology care to patients close to home. This integrated cancer care model combines the strength of both entities, offering access to the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options for adult and pediatric cancer patients, including clinical trials, immunotherapy, proton therapy, precision medicine, CAR T-cell therapy and cardio-oncology. Unique opportunities exist for collaborations between clinical and research programs, including clinical trials research, cancer chemoprevention, clinical and basic pharmacology, and Phase 1 clinical trials. Opportunities exist to develop independent research initiatives and participate in a broad range of teaching initiatives with medical students, housestaff, and fellows.  RWJBarnabas Health is New Jersey's largest integrated health care delivery system and provides excellent treatment to more than three million patients a year. We have eleven acute care hospitals, three children's hospitals, and a growing number of outpatient facilities. U.S. News & World Report notes the high performance of six of our many different specialties, with Neurology and Neurosurgery ranking on that list. The Department of Neurosurgery is home to 28 neurosurgeons, including 6 investigators, and spans over 3 campuses, providing  a wealth of clinical material with basic and translational research resources.

Applicants must have an M.D. degree with board certification and fellowship training.  Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.  Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
