The Division of Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University is seeking applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Medical Center Line (MCL). The successful candidate should be an accomplished clinical investigator with a demonstrated track record of research funding and a strong publication record.

 

The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the MCL shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service—appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Candidates should have an MD or MD/PhD and be board certified or eligible in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology or related specialties. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

 

The Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology group seeks a junior faculty member to conduct investigator-initiated Phase I and II clinical or clinical/translational trials focused on GI malignancies. The candidate will also participate in and eventually lead cooperative group clinical trials and selected sponsored trials. The candidate will teach fellows and other trainees, and participate in the Oncology clinics. The Division of Oncology benefits from an outstanding scientific and clinical environment at Stanford, including active collaborations with the basic science departments and the Stanford Institutes.
