Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology, and Comprehensive Cancer Center seek a full-time Associate Professor or Professor. The appointee will join an established group of nationally-known medical oncologists and surgeons, hold the leadership role of Program Director, Thoracic Oncology, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of colleagues from thoracic surgery, pulmonary, radiation oncology and pathology. We welcome applicants with robust laboratory, translational and/or clinical research portfolios.

The appointee will have dedicated time for leadership and research efforts, as well as a mix of outpatient clinics and inpatient service. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students. Academic rank, tenure status, and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) have leadership experience managing a complex disease program.
