Bassett Healthcare Network, a rural academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a full-time BC/BE General Hematologist/Oncologist with sub-specialty interest in Breast, Thoracic or Gastrointestinal Cancers to join an outstanding comprehensive cancer program.    

The ideal candidate will require a strong clinical background, interest in teaching and participating in NCI-sponsored clinical research activities. The existing collegial group of 7 physicians and 3 nurse practitioners are seeking two more physician colleagues to join the practice.  Physicians share equal call at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.    

Bassett Regional Cancer Program is a multidisciplinary initiative with 50 years of continuous accreditation by the American College of Surgeons as an approved Cancer Center and 30 years of participation in NCI sponsored clinical trials.  Bassett Medical Center has onsite Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Pathology and State of the Art Imaging.  Comprehensive support team including Nurse Navigator, Social Worker, Financial Counselor, Nutritionist and Palliative Care.

Bassett Healthcare and affiliates is a network of physicians, providers, hospitals and community health centers in eight counties, covering 5,000 square miles.
