The Beverly & Addison Gilbert Hospitals, members of Lahey Health Cancer Institute (LHCI) of Beth Israel Lahey Health, are seeking a full time Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist for their cancer program. The successful candidate will be based at both Beverly Hospital in Beverly, MA and Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester, MA. 

The candidate joins a strong multidisciplinary program that is accredited as a Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeon, Commission on Cancer, and a breast program that is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.  The successful candidate will also become a member of the Lahey Health Cancer Institute (LHCI) which includes the cancer programs of Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Lahey Medical Center, Peabody and Winchester Hospital Center for Cancer Care, as well as close affiliations with St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire and Parkland Medical Center in Derry and Salem, New Hampshire. The total new analytic cancer cases within the LHCI exceed 5,500 cases annually.  There are system-wide Multidisciplinary Model of Care teams for breast, GI, GU, thoracic, head and neck, and GYN ONC cancers which involve surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists that address clinical standardization, the clinical research agenda, and quality metrics and outcomes reporting.  The successful candidate will become a member of those teams.

Ample opportunities exist for research collaborations as the LHCI maintains a vibrant clinical research program. Lahey Health is a main member in SWOG and NRG, and has a robust Translational Research Program and Clinical Effectiveness Research Institute. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Innovation Center accepted all LHCI entities into its Oncology Care Model (OCM) Demonstration Project.  The goals of the OCM project are to align financial incentives, to improve care coordination, the appropriateness of care, the quality of care, and the access to care. The Lahey Hospital & Medical Center’s Department of Hematology/Oncology is affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine with an opportunity for an academic appointment commensurate with one’s level of achievement.

Beverly Hospital is located in Beverly, MA and Addison Gilbert Hospital is located in Gloucester, MA, on the beautiful North Shore. Lahey Medical Center, Peabody campus is a free-standing cancer center in Peabody, MA with state-of-the-art medical infusion, radiation oncology and outpatient surgical services.  Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is a 317-bed tertiary care facility, outpatient clinic and Level I trauma center. It is a physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of more than 500 physicians. Lahey maintains several accredited residency and fellowship programs.   The North Shore encompasses an area that provides excellent school systems, abundant cultural activities, convenient access to the mountains and seacoast throughout New England, and is close to a world-class city-Boston.
