Assistant/Associate Professor – Breast Oncology Program

 

The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Division of Hematology/Oncology are recruiting for a new faculty member in e Breast Medical Oncology Program at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

 

Candidates must have an MD Degree, be ABIM board certified or eligible in medical oncology, and have a strong clinical background in the care of patients with breast cancer. The position is open to individuals interested in any of the following career paths:

 

• Development of an independent laboratory-based research program;

• A focus on clinical and/or translational research, including but not limited to clinical trials, biomarkers, health care outcomes, global health, and quality of life;

• An emphasis on patient care, while supporting the research efforts of the Breast Oncology program.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to be an active participant in the Breast Oncology program in the context of an established multidisciplinary team. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to become a member of the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center with access to all core resources and abundant opportunities for collaboration. The amount of clinical time associated with the position will be dependent on the extent of, and funding for, the individual’s research (and/or administrative) efforts. The appointment will be made at a rank and compensation compatible with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
