Job Details
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology is seeking faculty candidates for our rapidly expanding medical oncology program at UC Health West Chester Hospital (WCH). The individual(s) selected will engage in patient care in a subspecialized setting. This appointment includes the opportunity for strong clinical collaboration with clinical investigators to continue the growth of a robust clinical research program. The successful candidate(s) will be offered an academic appointment at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine commensurate with her/his credentials. This position will be supported by dedicated administrative staff, advanced practice providers, nurse navigators, case managers. Compensation is highly competitive with the opportunity for incentives based on clinical and/or academic productivity.
Physicians interested in a leadership role will be considered for the position of Director of Clinical Services for the Division of Hematology and Oncology, which involves overseeing the outpatient clinics and infusion suites with dedicated protected time.
UC Health West Chester Hospital (WCH) is fully staffed with an array of subspecialists, intensive care units, infusion units, multidisciplinary oncology clinics and newly constructed infusion units.
The Division of Hematology and Oncology supports the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC), UC Health West Chester Hospital (WCH), University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute and the Cincinnati Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The Division consists of 16 clinical faculty members dedicated to advance the clinical and academic missions of the medical College. The Division includes multiple clinical centers of excellence, a Hemophilia treatment Center, a Therapeutic Phase I Clinical trial program and serves as a referral center for the Tri-State region. Six divisional research labs provide venues for translational research studies. In addition, ample opportunities exist on campus for access to resources in immunobiology, laboratory medicine, transfusion medicine, cell mediated therapy and cancer biology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, the Hoxworth Blood Center or the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
