We invite dynamic BE/BC Hematologist/Oncologists with a keen interest in teaching, clinical care, and clinical research to apply for clinician-educator track position in the Hematology and Oncology section, Medical Service, at the Central Virginia VA Health Care System (CVHCS), and Virginia Commonwealth University Massey Cancer Center.  The section is multifaceted with multiple physician-scientists, clinician-investigators, and clinician-educators. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to be members of two cancer centers -  McGuire Cancer Center (VA) and the Massey Cancer Center (VCU).

Preference will be given to those with interest in gastrointestinal malignancies, sarcoma, and melanoma. However, additional interest in GU or thoracic malignancies will also be considered. The primary duties include patient care, research, and teaching. The candidates will have an opportunity to teach 13-15 fellows who have their weekly continuity clinic at the VA as well as conduct research in close collaboration with many of the McGuire Cancer Center’s physician-scientists and clinical-investigators. Those interested in a leadership position will have the opportunity to assist with the administration and coordination of the fellowship program.
