University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cancer Center

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s (UCCOM) Division of Hematology and Oncology and the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center (UCCC) are seeking outstanding leadership candidates for the Directors of their Thoracic Oncology, Breast Oncology and West Chester Cancer Programs.  The new Directors will assume leadership of established clinical programs and be given the resources necessary to implement the visions and strategic plans necessary to elevate the national stature and academic and programmatic activities of their respective program. 

Based on qualifications and academic interests, each Director will spend a minimum of fifty percent of their effort’s in clinical activities and the remainder in research, administrative, and teaching activities. New Directors will be provided a highly competitive compensation and benefits package including a generous incentive plan based on clinical and academic productivity. Candidates may be MD or DO with Board Certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology and Oncology and must meet the requirements to receive an unrestricted medical license from the State of Ohio. 

Leadership Highlights:

  • Complete alignment between UC Health System, UC College of Medicine and the UC Cancer Center with strong fiscal commitment to the strategic planning and programmatic and scientific growth necessary to achieve NCI Designation  
  • Strong basic and translational science programs in both Breast and Thoracic Oncology including, but not limited to vibrant experimental therapeutics program, supportive CRO, and broad institutional commitment to growth in immunotherapy and genetics. 
  • Institutional willingness to support seasoned leaders or individuals seeking their initial Director role with mentorship, coaching and the fiscal resources necessary to recruit strong faculty and build respected clinical and research programs.
