Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey along with the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health System offers the exciting opportunity for an academically oriented medical oncologist with expertise in the treatment of melanoma and cutaneous malignancies.  Enthusiastic physicians with the skills and energy to play an important role within our NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center, and who have interest in the conduct of novel clinical trials and translational research are encouraged to apply. Clinical investigators with innovative and collaborative research programs addressing important, fundamental questions in the areas of precision medicine and/or immunobiology to promote translation within our existing robust research program are also encouraged to apply. Leadership opportunities exist for qualified candidates.

With the partnership of the Health System and academic appointment at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, unique opportunities exist for collaborations between clinical and research programs, including clinical trials research, cancer chemoprevention, clinical and basic pharmacology, Phase 1 clinical trials, and participation in a broad range of teaching initiatives with medical students, housestaff, and fellows.

MD (or equivalent) and fellowship training required. 5+ years of clinical practice experience required. Leadership experience preferred. Academic rank consummate with experience.
