Job Details
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology is undergoing a major expansion and is seeking faculty candidates at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. The individuals selected will engage in patient care, clinical investigation, and teaching of Fellows and Residents. These are academic mission positions, which clinical time for research, teaching, or administration. These positions are supported by dedicated administrative staff and advanced practice providers. Compensation is highly competitive with the opportunity for incentives based on clinical and/or academic productivity.
Area of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Lung cancer
- Breast cancer
- GI Oncology
- Benign Hematology: thrombosis, hemostasis or sickle cell disease
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improve the health of patients.
The Division of Hematology and Oncology supports the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC), West Chester Hospital (WCH), University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, and the Cincinnati Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The Division consists of 18 clinical faculty members. The Division includes multiple clinical centers of excellence, a Hemophilia Center, an Experimental Therapeutics program, and serves as a referral center for the Tri-State region. Eight divisional research labs provide venues for translational research studies. In addition, ample opportunities exist on campus for access to resources in immunobiology, laboratory medicine, transfusion medicine, cell mediated therapy and cancer biology at the University of Cincinnati Medical College, the Hoxworth Blood Center or the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or DO with Board eligibility or Board certification in Hematology or Medical Oncology
- Candidates applicants should demonstrate commitment to teaching and research
