Northwell Health Cancer Institute seeks a board certified Medical Oncologist with a specialty in breast oncology to join our growing multidisciplinary program in New York City. This is an exciting time to join our team as the Medical Oncology Division continues to develop and grow throughout Northwell Health. Ideal candidates must have completed a hematology/oncology fellowship. This is a great opportunity as you will have the ability to grow within one of the largest health systems in the country, and the ability to advance to become a leader of a division/department.

Lenox Hill Hospital, a 652-bed acute care hospital has earned a national reputation for outstanding patient care and innovative medical and surgical treatments. The hospital is particularly well known for excellence in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, orthopedics, sports medicine, otolaryngology/head and neck surgery, and maternal/child health. The Hospital is also a recognized leader in public health education and community outreach. Our hospital supports several residency programs including a well-known Internal Medicine Residency Program.

The Division is part of the Northwell Health Cancer Institute, which treats more than 16,000 patients with cancer, giving patients access to the services of more than 200 Cancer Institute physicians in more than 25 sub-specialties. The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research is home to Northwell Health’s research and is an epicenter for scientific discovery and innovation, including basic science and clinical research in molecular medicine, genetics, oncology, brain research, mental health, autoimmunity, and bioelectronic medicine. In 2015, Northwell Health and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory began a strategic affiliation to accelerate cancer research, diagnosis and treatment. This collaboration offers the ability to deliver cancer therapeutics to patients throughout the region, while also meeting the comprehensive medical and surgical needs of those with cancer and at risk of the disease.

Northwell Health is New York State’s largest health care provider and private employer, with 23 hospitals, more than 600 outpatient facilities and nearly 15,000 affiliated physicians. We care for over two million people annually in the New York metro area and beyond, thanks to philanthropic support from our communities. Our 66,000 employees – 15,000-plus nurses and 4,000 employed doctors, including members of Northwell Health Physician Partners – are working to change health care for the better. We’re making breakthroughs in medicine at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research. We're training the next generation of medical professionals at the visionary Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and the Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package. Physicians are employed through Northwell Health Physician Partners, one of the largest medical groups in the country.
